Fanboys
I'm a huge fan of Star Wars but no where near as huge as the characters in this movie. I saw Star Wars in 1978 for my 14th birthday. Me and some friends stood in line for hours to see it in this HUGE theater in New York city.

Test your Star Wars knowledge to see if you are a mega-fanboy geek. Can you answer any of these questions? The 4 main characters in this movie could easily answer these.

1. What is the name of the planet that Leia gave Grand Moff Tarkin as the false location of the rebel base location in Episode 4?
2. What is the name of gunner in Luke's land speeder?
3. Who directed by Episode 5?
4. In episode 6 when Princess Leia shoots down scout troopers, why did she walk instead of taking a speeder bike?
5. What was Luke Skywalker's call sign during the rebel assault in Episode 4?
6. What is the name of Chewbacca's home planet?

Answers

1. Tatooine
2. Dak
3. Irvin Kershner
4. if you pay attention, the land speeder was destroyed. Luke later refers to it.
5. Red 5
6. Kashyyyk

I was surprised to see how many stars appeared

  • Carrie Fischer - played Princess Leia Organa in Star Wars
  • Billy Dee Williams - played Lando Calrissian in Star Wars
  • Kevin Smith - played Silent Bob in Clerks
  • Jason Mewes - played Jay in Clerks
  • William Shatner - played Kirk on Star Trek
  • David Denman - plays Roy in The Office
  • Seth Rogan - plays 3 different people in this movie
  • Christopher McDonald - played Shooter McGavin in Happy Gilmore
  • Danny Trejo - played Machete in Spy Kids
  • Danny McBride - plays Will in Land of the Lost
I was hoping Harry Knowles (Ain't it cool news .com) played himself but he was played by Ethan Suplee whom I remember from such movies as The Mallrats, Butterfly Effect, American History X, Without a Paddle, Chasing Amy, Dogma and Road Trip.

I love how they visit Riverside, Iowa the future birth place of Captain Kirk. What's funny is that the new Star Trek reboot movie has Captain Kirk being born in space.

They point out that Trekky is derogatory. The term is Trekker.

The password is scruffy nerf herder.

Harrison Ford is the greatest actor of all time. Star Wars, Blade Runner, Indian Jones. He's never made a bad movie (Six days seven nights).

I love the guards in Lucas Ranch dressed up police from the Lucas movie THX 1138. There were so many inside joke fanboy references, I'm sure that I missed a lot of them.

I wasn't aware that Star Wars fanboys were at war with Star Trek fanboys. I happen to be a fanboy of boy but this movie makes it seems like the two groups are enemies.

I love how Hutch only plays Rush in his Star Wars Van. Rush is my all time favorite band. I just bought Moving Pictures on iTunes. I'm still rockin-out to Rush.

Just like Star Wars, they included the Wilhelm scream.

You missed that the guy who played Darth Maul was the one of the guards. My favorite part ;)

You didn't notice Ray Park (aka Darth Maul), as one of the security guards at Skywalker Ranch?
